Big Radical is a product development studio of designers, engineers, project coaches and business innovators based in Soho, London. Our leadership team are digital product veterans and our team are rock-solid thinkers and makers. We are equal doses client business, product sandpit and IP development, together with a growing network of extended family and collaborators.

Our focus is Rapid Breakthrough Product Development – getting to the point fast, prototyping and validating, helping facilitate key decisions - then helping clients go to market with meaningful and purposeful products that make a difference you can measure.

Monitise Content:

Operating digital distributions networks, Monitise Content connects thousands of money saving offers from the worlds leading brands to millions of consumers through their digital platforms.

The portfolio includes one of the UK’s leading shopping destinations  providing money saving offers across all shopping categories including holidays, fashion and restaurants. The portfolio also extends to operations serving consumers in territories including the US, Germany, Australia and France.

Utilising proprietary technology Monitise Content also operates a number of digital ticketing transactional platforms serving business partners EE and Nectar.

Directors

Peter Ayliffe
Chairman and Non-Executive Director
Peter was President and Chief Executive Officer of Visa Europe from March 2006 to September 2013, where he was responsible for Visa's European business in 37 countries, accounting for some 30% of the worldwide expenditure on Visa cards. Prior to Visa Europe, Peter spent over 30 years in retail banking. He was a main Board Director with responsibility for Retail Banking at Lloyds TSB, one of the UK's leading banks. During this time, Peter was a Director on the Visa Europe Board and a Director on the Visa International Board. Peter is currently Deputy Chairman of the Coventry Building Society, Chairman of truRating, the global consumer ratings company and a trustee of Pennies, the digital charity box. Peter was appointed Chairman and non-executive director of Monitise in October 2013, and Chairs the Nominations & Governance Committee.
Lee Cameron
Chief Executive Officer
Lee was appointed CEO of the group in September 2015. He has been with the company since its formation as a member of the founding management team. Appointed to the Board in 2008 he has held a number of senior executive roles within the company. A lawyer by profession. Prior to Monitise, Lee was General Counsel of Morse plc, a FTSE 250, technology company. He has extensive experience of private and public company boards.
Amanda Burton
Senior Independent Non-Executive Director
Amanda Burton was Global Chief Operating Officer at Clifford Chance LLP from 2010 to 2014, having joined the firm in 2000. Amanda is currently a non-executive director of Countryside Properties PLC and chairs its Remuneration Committee, and of HSS Hire Group PLC where she is Senior Independent Director and also chairs its Remuneration Committee. In 2016, Amanda joined Skipton Building Society as a non-executive director and is a member of its Nomination Committee. Amanda is also Chair of the Trustees of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. Amanda was appointed non-executive director of Monitise in June 2014, and is Senior Independent Director. She Chairs the Remuneration Committee and is a member of the Audit & Risk Committee and the Nominations & Governance Committee.
Gavin James
Chief Operating Officer
Gavin joined Monitise in October 2015 as Chief Restructuring Officer, was appointed Chief Operating Officer in March 2016 and was appointed to the Board in July 2016. Gavin is a Chartered Accountant by profession who has significant previous Board experience having held CFO, COO and CEO positions at both listed and private companies including Vertex Group, iSoft plc, Morse plc, Menvier Swain Group plc. Gavin is currently non-Executive Chairman of the Vertex Group.
Tim Wade
Independent Non-Executive Director
Tim, a qualified lawyer and accountant, is Chairman of Macquarie Bank International Limited and a non-executive director of Chubb Europe Group Limited, where he chairs the Audit Committees for both. He is also a non-executive director of Access Bank UK Limited, where he chairs the Credit Committee. In September 2016, Tim joined CYBG Plc as a non-executive director and a member of the Risk Committee and Chair of the Audit Committee. Tim is also a former Chairman of the national charity Coeliac UK and former non-executive director of Friends Life. Tim was appointed non-executive director of Monitise in January 2011. He Chairs the Audit & Risk Committee and is a member of the Remuneration Committee and the Nominations & Governance Committee.

Nick Cheetham
Managing Director, FINkit
Nick leads the direction and execution of FINkit platform sales, the development of the curated fintech partnership programme, platform engineering, product and marketing. He also continues the leadership of the strategic IBM technology and go-to-market collaboration. From 30 years’ experience, Nick benefits from the successes and lessons learnt in instrumental roles during the game-altering years of many high tech innovators of their time, both as an individual contributor as well as executive leadership. These companies have included Sun Microsystems as they invented Open Systems and Client Server architectures; through to running global sales and marketing for a high growth private cloud start-up founded by the CTO of Goldman Sachs; as well as driving Digital Marketing platform sales in Microsoft.
Will Jones
Managing Director, FINkit
As MD of the FINkit business, Will is accountable for Agile led delivery, operations and client readiness, as well as the P&L success of the business. With over 20 years' experience at exec level in Financial Services roles in the UK and abroad, including positions within Retail, Private and Wealth management, Will has driven financial innovation into profitable live propositions through agile team delivery at Egg (the UK's first digital bank), RBS, M&S and ‎Santander. He was also COO at Funds Direct, the pioneering investment funds platform, that was a pioneer in transforming the ways in which intermediaries transact their business digitally.
Scott Ewings
Managing Director, Big Radical
Scott Ewings is the Managing Director of Big Radical, the digital product design and development agency. Before taking up the position of Managing Director of Big Radical, Scott was Managing Director of Ustwo in the UK, and prior to that MD of Fjord, leading up to its acquisition by Accenture Interactive. Scott has also spent time client-side as Strategy Director for Vodafone in Sydney, Australia, where he was responsible for brand and customer experience transformation. Scott trained in Graphic Design and has a significant track record in launching digital experiences and products for clients including BBC, Telefonica, Vodafone, Orange, TFL, Google, Ford, Barclays, ESPN and Tesco, and developing high-performing teams.
Fatih lsbecer
President, Americas
Fatih Isbecer has 20+ years of software industry experience as an entrepreneur and CEO. He started his first venture at the age of 21, then his second venture Pozitron, at 24, which went on to lay foundations for Turkey's mobile banking, commerce and payments ecosystem. In a short period of time, Pozitron became the fastest growing company of the year and was also named Deloitte Technology Fast500 EMEA company in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Pozitron was acquired by Monitise in February 2014. He served as Managing Director and President of Monitise MEA from 2014 to 2016. He actively invests in technology startups across the world as an angel investor, is a member of Galata Business Angels and shares his entrepreneurial experiences and forward-looking views on technology in organizations such as MIT Sloan School, Stanford GSB and TEDx. Isbecer holds a Physics Engineering degree from Istanbul Technical University.
Firat Isbecer
Managing Director, MEA
Firat Isbecer currently serves as Managing Director of Monitise MEA overseeing the company’s Eastern Europe, Middle East, Central Asia and Africa sales & operations. He is a member of Galata Business Angels, Turkey’s first angel investment network. He also publishes articles on technology at various newspapers and blogs. Firat is a Turkish entrepreneur and co-founded Pozitron, a pioneering mobile banking, commerce & payments company that was acquired by Monitise in February 2014. After studying at Robert College High School in İstanbul, Firat received his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Internet Broadcasting from Galatasaray University, and his Master’s Degree in Geopolitical Studies from a joint programme by the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and the École Normale Supérieure.
Chris Reilly
Managing Director, Monitise Content
Chris Reilly is the Managing Director of Monitise Content which consists of a number of digital distributions networks operating across multiple territories, serving millions of customers each year. He brings over 10 years of online commercial expertise to the business covering marketing, strategy, positioning, analytics and management. Chris previously worked as General Manager across the Markco Media portfolio alongside its founder and prior to its acquisition by Monitise in June 2014. Prior to that Chris worked within online pure-play organisations from start-ups to private equity backed multi-million pound online retailers across multiple territories.
Tom Spurgeon
Company Secretary
Tom is Company Secretary of Monitise and responsible for corporate development activities for the Group. He has been with the company since its listing in 2007 and has held a number of finance-led executive roles. He brings over 25 years of experience covering both financial management gained over several industries and corporate development activity including cross-border M&A. A Cambridge graduate and Chartered Accountant, Tom trained with Price Waterhouse. Prior to joining Monitise, Tom spent five years as UK Finance Director of IT services and technology company Morse plc.
