Monitise are looking to recruit for a Release Build & Integration Engineer for our London Office.

 

Some key responsibilities of this role include:

 

Key Responsibilities for the Role is:

 

  • Producing a Release Strategy for major and maintenance releases
  • Agreeing release schedule for releases with the Project and Transition teams
  • Liaising with the infrastructure team to ensure environments are ready for application deployments
  • Developing a configuration guides to switch application to be used for various functional and non-functional test phases through requirements gathering
  • Deployment of java based application (Web sphere, Web logic, glassfish) and deployment of web applications to pre-production and production environments using the Continuous Delivery approach
  • Updating SQL  database schemas  on data centre hosted environments
  • Supporting QA teams through the test phases by troubleshooting and investigating application /configuration related issues
  • Regularly liaising with enterprise and customer focused development teams to during development and issue investigation
  • Producing/updating core process and specific release documents including steps and approach for cutover of change to Live
  • Keeping all application release and configuration artefacts up to date
  • Timely and well articulated escalations to key stakeholders of risks and issues
  • Ensuring that all lessons learnt are captured and fed back to continuously improve the processes, tools and skill sets
  • Collate reports and metrics through the release lifecycle
  • Protecting the live environment through the governance and process

 

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

 

Essential

  • Experience of Release Management and Deployment experience
  • Experience with Continuous Delivery methodology and tools
  • Change and Configuration Management  knowledge and experience
  • Significant hands-on Experience in Java Applications, including: installation, configuration and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Oracle (9i, 10g and 11g)
  • Competent with the use of SQL, PL/SQL and SQLPlus
  • Competent with the use of Unix (Solaris and Linux)
  • Experience of Blade and Zone architecture
  • An understanding of the ITIL framework for Service Delivery.
  • An excellent understanding of software development life cycles
  • Significant Release Management experience gained in an ITIL environment
  • Excellent understanding of software development life cycles

 

Desirable

 

  • Expertise in Glassfish
  • Expertise in ActiveMQ
  • Expertise in Continuous Delivery
  • Release Management experience of working with Enterprise Software
  • Experience of working with mBanking, mCommerce and mPayment products
  • ITIL V3 certification
