The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 is one of the UK's foremost technology award programs, ranking the UK's 50 fastest-growing technology companies on their percentage revenue growth over five years. 2014 marked the fourth year running that Monitise has maintained a top 15 ranking. It is the only company to have achieved this over the past four years.
Royal Bank of Scotland's (RBS) 'Pay Your Contacts' service, developed in partnership with Visa Europe and Monitise, was named Gold winner for 'Best New Service of the Year' at the Best in Biz International Awards. The programme, which recognises businesses and services from more than 30 countries, was judged by an international panel of journalists and analysts. Also at the Best in Biz International Awards, Monitise was named Silver winner in the 'Fastest-Growing Company of the Year (Large – 1,000 or more employees)' category and Bronze winner in the 'Company of the Year (Large – 1,000 or more employees)' category.
BKM Express Mobile, developed by Monitise for BKM (Turkey's National Switch) was named overall winner of The Banker's Technology Project of the Year Awards, in addition to winning Retail Payments Project of the Year. The awards recognise the service - a secure and convenient way of making online and mobile payments as well as peer-to-peer (P2P) transactions - as an innovative new mobile wallet.
BKM Express Mobile, developed by Monitise for BKM (Turkey's National Switch) was named winner of the Mobile Payments category at the Future Mobile Awards, a programme run and judged by analyst house Juniper Research. Launched in July 2013, the service currently has 300,000 users and is supported by 15 banks and over 650 merchants.
Monitise was named the winner of the 'Best Merger or Acquisition' category at the Future Payments and Digital Banking Awards in recognition of its acquisition of Turkish Mobile Money innovator Pozitron in February 2014. The Future Payments and Digital Banking Awards recognize excellence in the European payments industry. For the Best Merger or Acquisition category, judges were looking for an example of a financially successful acquisition that had fundamentally changed the nature of the organization's business and/or market position and provided significant future opportunities to the business.
The Best Business Awards are one of the UK's highest profile awards. Monitise's P2P payment services developed for Royal Bank Scotland won in the Best Innovation category. Commenting on the award, Andrew Areoff, the Chairman of the judges said: "Monitise's collaboration with Royal Bank of Scotland has been particularly successful. The bank's mobile banking app is now being used by almost 3 million customers who can effortlessly access their finances anytime, anyplace, anywhere."
Monitise was named the winner of an IBM Choice Award for High-Performing New Business Partner. IBM's Choice Awards recognize a select number of IBM Business Partners who exhibit IBM values in all client interactions and achieve common business goals and mutually significant business impact. The Choice Awards, selected by IBM leadership in each geography, are given to Business Partners across a range of categories, recognizing their working relationships with clients and demonstrated skills in selling IBM solutions.
Monitise's Mobile Money platform was recognized as a "Best-in-Class" solution across all categories in a 2013 CEB TowerGroup Mobile Banking Technology Analysis report. Monitise's platform was given the highest available ranking for Customer Experience, Interface Development, Integration and Management, and Enterprise Support.
Monitise was named the winner of the Best Peer to Peer Programme category at the Emerging Payments Awards for its Indonesian BlackBerry Messenger payments service, BBM Money. The Peer to Peer Programme category recognized the best live P2P payment program and innovations around the world. It was open to any type of solution - whether based on an open loop or closed network, and across cards, mobile, or online.
Monitise was recognized as the winner of the Cross-Border Deal of the Year in the 2013 M&A Awards for its acquisition of Clairmail, the North American mobile banking and payments specialist. The Cross Broader Deal of the Year award recognized the most impressive cross border M&A deal conducted in the 12 months to March 2013. It was open to any deal in which one party was from the UK and another from overseas.
Monitise was named as a "Highly Commended" pick in Real Business' "30 to Watch in Mobile" list, recognizing UK businesses who have the potential to truly shake up the world of mobile. Real Business noted that Monitise is one of the UK's most outstanding firms in any sector, and that the Monitise platform is truly versatile, working on any handset or network, and on any continent.
The RBS Group Retail Banking Application, developed by Monitise, was honored as the “Outstanding Mobile Wallet or Application” at the 2013 Paybefore Awards Europe. The Paybefore Awards Europe recognize the best products and programs in the prepaid business.
The BIMA (British Interactive Media Association) Awards honors top companies in the UK digital media industry. In 2012, Monitise was recognized with a BIMA Award for Innovation.
The Clairmail solution by Monitise received the prestigious 2012 Award for Customer Value Enhancement in the Mobile Banking and Payments Services industry from Frost & Sullivan. This award is earned by a mobile banking solution that demonstrates excellence in implementing strategies that proactively create value for Financial Institutions (FIs) with a focus on improving the return on the investment that FIs make in their services or products.
The Clairmail solution by Monitise was named the Best Mobile Application or Service in the 2012 San Francisco Business Times Tech and Innovation Awards. The Tech and Innovation Award winners were chosen across 15 categories for solving challenging problems, all while growing companies and creating jobs in the Bay Area.
Monitise received the "Deal of the Year" award at The Grant Thornton Quoted Company Awards 2012, in recognition of Monitise's extension of its strategic partnership with Visa with a new five-year alliance agreement in June 2011.
The Clairmail solution by Monitise won the BAI MobileLink Pace Setter award at the 2011 BAI Retail Delivery Conference and Expo, edging out finalists Fiserv and Kony Systems. In a 2010 report, Celent evaluated 15 mobile banking companies and found that the Clairmail solution by Monitise outpaced all other surveyed vendors in the total number of active end users. While citing the Clairmail solution's continued market dominance in the top-tier FI market, Celent also named the Clairmail solution the recipient of the XCelent Award for Advanced Technology—giving the Clairmail solution high scores for high mobile banking enrollment, end user customization capabilities, and advanced administrative tools like the Clairmail CSR console and unique analytics and reporting features.
Javelin's 2010 Mobile Banking Vendor Report analyzed 12 top global vendors that offer U.S. mobile-banking platforms. Each vendor was compared and ranked according the following criteria: product depth, multimodal (triple play – SMS, mobile web and client applications), strategic partners. Based on the criteria, the Clairmail solution by Monitise tied for the highest number of points and was ranked "Best in Class."
The Red Herring 100 Global honors the top 100 privately-held companies from around the world. Red Herring's editorial team used a very competitive process to whittle down the pool of 1200 potential companies from North America, Europe and Asia to the top 100 winners, including Monitise Americas.
